All three operations are performed using the connector installer on the server where the connector is installed. Administrative rights are required in each case. Stop the connector service before removing it.
Updating or repairing a connector
Use this option when a new connector version is available, or when an existing installation has become damaged or incomplete.
Run the connector installer executable on the server.
Select Update/Repair and click Next.
The installer displays the current installation directory. If the location does not need to change, leave it unchanged.
Click Install to begin. When complete, the connector Windows service restarts automatically and the interface becomes available again.
All existing configuration, certificates, and credentials are preserved during an update or repair.
Modifying a connector installation
Use this option to change the network port, update a driver file, or replace the client certificate without reinstalling the connector.
Run the connector installer executable on the server.
Select Modify and click Next.
The installer displays the current installation directory. Leave unchanged if the location is not moving.
Update the relevant settings:
HTTPS Port — the port used by the connector service. Must be in the range 1024–65535 and not already in use.
Driver File — supply a replacement driver file if required. Leave blank if the driver is not changing.
Client Certificate — provide the keystore file path and keystore password to replace the certificate. Leave blank if the certificate is not changing.
Click Install to apply. The connector Windows service restarts automatically when complete.
All existing configuration and credentials not explicitly changed during modification remain in place.
Removing a connector
Ensure the connector service is stopped before proceeding.
Run the connector installer executable on the server.
Select Remove and click Next.
Confirm the installation directory and click Next.
Click Remove to begin. When complete, the Windows service is removed from the system.
The installation directory and log files may remain after uninstallation. Delete the installation directory manually to fully remove the connector from the server.
