A module is a collection of screens within an application. Modules appear as navigation items in the Side Menu and expand to show the screens they contain when selected.

Navigation Structure

Modules form the primary navigation structure of an application. Related screens are grouped within a module so users can locate data and functionality more easily. Selecting a screen from within a module loads it in the Main Data Area.

Access Control

Module visibility can be restricted by user role. This ensures users only see the parts of the application relevant to their responsibilities and keeps navigation uncluttered for those who do not need access to every area.

Configuration

Modules are created and managed at Layouts \> Modules in the Configuration application.

When configuring modules, group screens that belong together logically and consider which areas of the application different roles will need to access. For more on roles and access control, see User Roles and Permissions.
